trying to find local groups without facebook

hi, we are home educating our 12yr old but we are really struggling to find local groups / meet ups without needing to join the world of facebook. just wondering if anyone knows of anything in the derbyshire/nottinghamshire area where my ds could have some interaction with other kids. Any help is much appreciated .

Honestly you'll find it impossible. Just join facebook and use it only for that - that's all I use my account for, and I don't use my real name/photo either.

Agree with above, I had to join Facebook, and it is only for the home Ed groups. Unfortunately it seems to be the only platform where you'll find all the groups.

If you are near Sherwood forest at all there is a lovely forest school called Woodland Nurture that have home ed sessions. They are really popular so not sure if there would be space, but might be worth a shot as they have a variety of ages and both boys and girls attending.
