Hi to all, I'm looking to move my son over to online schooling. I seem to have found the main ones, myonlinesshooling, interhigh, netschool and the onlineschool. Does anybody have any experience of these schools and are there any I have missed.
Thank you very much

My dd enjoyed interhigh

Didn't involve herself with anything other than lessons but did well in her GCSEs

Biggest issue was finding an exam centre that would accommodate I GCSEs

My daughter has attended Net School for about 5 years. It has been excellent and she has achieved high grades in her IGCSEs. She has made good friends that she keeps in touch with online. She also used the Online School of Art and Design for Art and it worked well for her too!

My DS uses ICSLearn for iGCSEs and is currently using Kanduit for ICT.

Hi all!

This is a little late but I thought it would be helpful to give you my experience with online schooling for you and anyone else. I have three children whom all go to Interhigh. However, they recently expanded and in my opinion, this is only an opinion, their class sizes have gotten huge and their learning has been effected. My son, in year ten, was going into a class of hundreds in Interhigh! So I am moving my kids to OpenSchool, whom whilst relatively new are aiming for small, SAFE (this is so important for me especially since its online school), class sizes of less than ten. Which will really help my son who needs a lot of personal support. They are very supportive so I am sure that whatever your circumstances are they will help you :).

I hope everything works out for anyone looking to transition to online learning!

Hi
Interhigh again here - we’ve found them generally good. DS loves working without distractions ( and with room service !)
They seem a little distracted very recently by the Inspired takeover, but there are potential upsides for students, so we are hanging in to see how things go.
Also using Kanduit for ICT - how is it going for yours BiBabbles? I thought we might be odd in that respect, so glad to hear another onliner is doing the same. DS really enjoying it so far, but goes off piste sometimes when something interesting occurs to him.
Good luck to all going ( or thinking of going ) the onliner way.

Susan - May I ask whether the very big classes where the lecture style ones or the follow up ones ? I would be quite concerned if it was the latter- I might be doing a little checking there myself ! Hope the openschool move goes well.

Hi jebthesheep, The hundreds of student in a class was the lecture style ones (thank fully), but his explore classes are still around 50-60 🙁 students. Yes I think the Inspire takeover has distracted them.
Thank you very much!
