Home ed groups

Was just wondering if any home ed groups have started thinking/planning about how they're going to go back.

When I was a home schooled child, I loved my home ed group. I'd have been writing furious letters to MPs myself if the government had closed it!

I'm pregnant and had a home ed group lined up to attend when baby is old enough (but thought I'd start well before school age because why not - there's plenty of other babies in that group!) That group's closed and I don't know at all when it will start again (am even wondering if it will sometimes, but I think it will). It makes me sad for the kids, thinking about how sad I would have been as a kid.

Yes, we go to two lovely groups and are really missing them. I submitted a question to the daily briefing but I didn't get picked. I was sort of thinking of writing to my MP but then I thought that if we somehow secure an exemption then are they want to regulate what we do? Would be worth it in the short term but not the long term.

Yes, I was wondering if an exemption would cause trouble in the long term. Because presumably that would lead to at least an official definition of a home ed group. Would they then have to start checking that you met the definition? How long before that turns into a full blown Ofsted inspection? Etc, etc.
