just doing home education whilst lockdown. my ds shows a lot of anger, he sats he is annoyed and cannot hold his temper... how can i help him with the build up of negative feelings? I do jot want to squash but more to teach him to understand these feelings abd re channel. thank you.

You'll probably get more traffic on other Mumsnet boards - this one was set up for parents doing longterm home education and while some of us may have some ideas to help, I think your son's reaction to the current crisis is probably quite common and not specific to home education. It is a frightening and frustrating time for kids.

The type of things home ed parents usually recommend when kids have come out of school as a result of traumatic experiences there (e.g. bullying) are to focus on connection with your child and take a break from academics if trying to make the child do academic work is causing conflict. Mental health comes first, and a child who feels unsafe and unhappy cannot concentrate on learning.
