My daughter is in year 10 and is home educated. We live in Essex and I'm really struggling to speak to anyone from examination board on where she can sit her exams and if I got the right books. Can anyone help please x

The exam boards are overwhelmed with the chaos with this year's exams. They are awful for giving out the wrong information over the phone anyway.
This link will help you, not exhaustive though.

So Facebook is your friend, join the Facebook group linked from the site I linked above and local groups you can find and ask if anyone can give you any information on local centres.

I agree. Other home educators in your area would be the first place to start. You will need to confirm that the exam centre you have identified is still taking private candidates and will accept your daughter to do the specific exams she wants to take. Autumn is usually a good time to get in touch with centres - not so early that their staff and policies may change, but still well in advance of registration deadlines.

There is plenty of expertise among home ed parents on the various HE exams Facebook groups. It is best to go there to double check whether you are using the right books.
