I did, a few years ago. Are there specific issues with the school or is your dc not coping with school in general?

If your child has an EHCP, which they obviously will for specialist provision, you’ll need agreement from your LA to remove them. It’s the only situation where you need permission to Home Ed.

Yes, that is true. Many LAs will require you to do an emergency annual review prior to agreeing to remove them from the school's register but that is not to discuss or critique your home ed plans - it is only to review whether or not the school is able to meet your child's needs.

What is it that you are finding worrying about the social school. The more detail you provide, the easier it is for people to offer relevant and appropriate advice.

He’s crying every night ,begging not to go ,wetting himself at the thought and picking the skin of his arms with the stress of it
He will only use the home toilet and this school is an hour away in a taxi
School has doors that don’t open unless you are a teacher with a pass round your neck ,everywhere is locked ,if he gets stressed and tried to run he can’t...the out side area is heavily fenced in so they can’t get out on to the street ,so why the need for internal doors to all be locked as they are safe with the huge fence round the outside

He’s on roll there but not had first day ,I understand the law to be I only ask for permission to home Ed after his first day,as that’s when a child officially enrolls
