Does anyone know where the cheapest place is to get these? I am looking for the ks3 ones and workbooks.

Also are these a good starting point for maths science and spag? I know they will be bare bones but do they at least cover the whole syllabus?

We are hoping to get him into a school that starts at year 10 so I need to make sure these next three years can prep him for that.

Haven't used CGP (personally find them really irritating and pages over-busy) but can recommend Galore Park 'So You Really Want to Learn' books - lots of practice in the maths ones; English covers reading/writing/SPaG; science is OK too.

DD is using the CGP KS3 books along with some from Collins and Letts. We bought some in WH Smith and some from Amazon. Amazon is a bit cheaper. I quite like the layout of the CGP books but the Letts KS3 English one is more attractively set out and looks more comprehensive. You also need to buy the recommended set texts for the literature component separately, although we've decided to do our own thing for literature (don't fancy reading Dickens).
