Home schooling bicester, Oxfordshire under 5’s

Hello, I am going to Home school my children when they are old enough (currently my oldest is 2), but in the meantime I would like to find families in a similar situation, mostly just so my children can make friends with other children that aren’t going to go to school. If any groups like this already exist I would love to join, if not then I would love to hear from like minded families and arrange a get together

Great idea! I think that for many families the journey into home education is made smoother by getting involved with others who are doing the same. There are a couple of local Facebook groups. One of them is open to all HE families and the other only to people who have already met someone in the group, a policy intended to help keep members' personal information safer. Once you've been along to a few meet-ups there will be people who can vouch for you if you want to join that group. Go to the FB search bar and search for "home education Oxfordshire" and you will find both.

I haven't paid much attention to what is on for young kids in the Bicester area, but I do know there is a fortnightly under-8s group about a 20 min drive from you, and they have said they are eager to welcome newcomers. There's plenty happening in Oxford for various ages. People also propose meet-ups in parks and splash parks etc, sometimes regularly and sometimes as a one-off.
