There are a number of threats to home education in Britain at the moment. In Westminster the Soley Bill proposes registration and inspection of families. The Department for Education is going to issue a public consultation on new guidance. Wales is looking at new guidance also. The Isle of Man faces possibly the biggest threat with a new Education Bill that could include a system of reports and inspections.
All of this matters as what one part of Britain does other parts may copy.
