Home Education Parents in Suffolk

Hello! My partner and I have been wondering about home schooling our children. We live in Suffolk, 20 minutes to Ipswich. We were wondering whether there are any parents in the area that are currently home schooling their children? We are thinking of setting up a home schooling community where children can learn various subjects by being active and having fun! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, which side of Ipswich are you? There are a handful of HomeEd groups in the area and a Facebook page. Try posting this in the local chat section.

Hello!
I’ve just started home educating my children and I wondered how you’re getting on? I realise you made the post in 2017...
Are you still home ed’ing and did you find any good groups? We’re near Woodbridge and we’d love to chat/meet up 😊

Hi, we have taken our 6 yo out of school to home educate, we're struggling to find any groups in Ipswich we worry about his social skills and believe he is on the autism spectrum, any help and advice would be greatly appreciated. He is great at maths and science but struggling with English, especially reading/writing, he was behind when he was at school as well and has no interest or enthusiasm to want to focus enough to improve.

How's everyone getting on with home-ed in Ipswich?
I appreciate that this thread is over 5 years old but with the wet and cold weather arriving I wondered if you were successful in finding any groups?

Haven't found much support tbh, have never been to any groups/event, the closest we got was looking at a forest school - it looked great with excellent people running it but it wasn't financially viable for us. Don't have any friends that homeschool, most of our family don't agree with it and think our son is just difficult and worse now because he has been out of school for so long.
Back to topic, from what I've found online there seem to be more going on for home educators in places like Bury
