"Story of the world" books, anyone got 'em, are they any good?

Flyer came with the new EO publication today, they look ok, but I always like to leaf before I buy. EO are offering 20% off, but you can get them cheaper on Amazon.
Would you recommend them?

Hi Sorkycake, thought I'd bump this up for you. I read the same flyer and also thought they looked great and would be interested to hear if anyone has seen them, though dd1 is a bit young for them still. Nothing like being prepared though.

(BTW I read the other thread and wish you luck with the birth and would personally have no worries about laying off formal learning for a few weeks.)

Ta much Elf!
Yes I thought they looked pretty good, but a little review would be helpful as well. They are a little pricey, esp. the activity books that go with them. I think if I don't hear from anyone in the next couple of days then I'll order book one+activity workbook from Amazon and I'll let you know. Dd is 5 (nearly) but I'm sure we could do these together and adapt them.

I don't have SOTW myself but the books are definitely on my wish-list. I have seen them and I think they look fab, esp. the activity books to go with the 'story'.
