Hi EBAB.
If you join Education Otherwise, you get a contact list of those family who are happy to be contacted (obviously!), so that might be a good place to start.
education otherwise website
There are also lots of home ed lists on Yahoo, so it might be worth having a search there too.

"those families".
Doh!
(I think I need to sleep now! )

Thanks, HC. I did join EO last year, and (if I'm honest) have had only a quick flick through the contacts list. There didn't appear to be as much going on in this area as in others, hence my posting, but really, I should revisit the list for a more thorough look ...

Haven't checked out Yahoo! groups though. Will follow up.

Thanks again. EBAB

Try having a look at home-education.org.uk/ It has a Local Groups page -you may be able to find contacts there also. It is also an excellent source of all sorts of information-and very good articles.
I'd also agree about posting to one of the HE lists on yahoo, someone from your area may well read it and contact you.

hey eggy, hoping we can meet up at least!

bumping it for you really...

Fillyjonk · 18/01/2007 07:16

oh and i met all my lcoal HE friends thorugh yahoo, btw,

whats great is that you post an intro and often people respond to you

which is oooh so much nicer

there must be a meeting in your neck of the woods, surely? bear in mind that a lot of HE meetings are not official EO meetings (christ knows why, since it gives you free insurance, but maybe they need to accomodate the smokers ) so are not in the EO mag. But they are still there.

oh and try freedom in education website, sorry canlt link, bf

Hi, I'm in north Wiltshire. I know a few other families in our town and we also go to the mid-wilts home ed group in beanacre every fortnight. Where abouts are you?

nelehluap · 10/06/2012 23:20

where abouts do you live?
