HE and working

Hi, my DD is 7 and really struggling at school, mainly due to the pressure that seems to have been applied since starting Y2 (although tbh she also struggled with the move from foundation to the more formal approach in y1). I really feel that home ed would be a very positive move for her. However - DH works full time (for a pretty inflexible company) and I work part time. We rely on our current incomes to survive so definitely could not stop work or even reduce hours. We also could not afford to pay for any additional childcare (we already pay for dd2 as she is only 2). I'm racking my brain for any solution to this, but I just can't come up with any way of making HE work in our situation - what would I do with DD while I'm at work? Has anyone else come up against something similar? I'm feeling pretty desperate about it all and hate the fact that I can't see a way out from formal schooling for poor DD.

No advice, but I sympathise as we're in pretty much the same boat with ds. He's older and we've got to the point where I think school is really doing him damage now, so interested to see if anyone has any genius solutions to this.

Not much of an advice, but just a thought...How much do you pay for childcare at the moment? And how much do you earn in your part time job?

Reading back my previous post..I didn't mean I want your exact figures :)) just thinking that it might not be much difference in between the two and you could cope
