Has anyone successfully managed to negotiate flexi-schooling?

DD is 5 and in year 1. I am meeting with the head teacher next week to ask about whether I can flexi-school her (home school for one or two days per week). Does anyone do this? Do I have any chance of her saying yes?

Many thanks in advance.

Lots of people flexi-school, but it is at the discretion of the HT so there are no guarantees. It can work successfully but depend (I think) on the reasons why full time school wouldn't be suitable for the child. Might be less workable if the child has school anxiety because they still have to attend so that stress is still there. You'd still be answerable to the school so you would have to follow the school's curriculum - you'd have less flexibility than HE proper. Do you know what your LA's flexi school policy is? Any other children do this in your area?
