I just want to gush coz i can not wait till we get to unbox1 its the secular version of sonlight. I ordered from the US yesterday so quite a wait yet. Anyone else use them?

We use sonlight. It comes really quick , 7 days from ordering everytime. You shouldn't have too long to wait :-) enjoy.

I've just been looking at both of these - which would be best to go for? Sonlight or Bookshark?! I have 5 girls 11,8,6,3 and 9months :)

I've used Sonlight this year and really enjoyed it - we are a Christian family and it is a Christian curriculum, so it's a good fit for us but if you want a secular curriculum then it's not going to be for you. I'd not heard of Bookshark before seeing this thread, though I had heard that a secular version of Sonlight was being produced. I'll be interested to hear how people get on with it.

It arrived. Looks fab! If you compare thevreading list to the sonlight one, its 80% the same so it seems to be definately the secular version. I also have a friend who buys sonlight though and just chucks the bible and skips those bits. So i guess thats also doable.

Yeah the postage is loads. However i sat and made a spreadsheet! Shock I worked out the price plus shipping from bookshark then the same buying all the books i could individually from amazon uk. Bookshark was cheaper!

I've just ordered Grade 1 for my 6 and 8 year olds! If they get on well then I'll be getting grade 3 for my 11 year old. I am so excited!
