My eldest DD, who is 16, is now in her third week of employment. I removed her from school when she was in year 8, aged just 12yrs old, due to continual bullying. She was subjected to not only verbal bullying but also physical bullying. Sadly she has the scars to prove this.....burn scars.

We have home schooled her since..its not been easy with both myself and my DH working...he full time and me 6 mornings a week but we have battled through and she has done amazingly well, making new friends along the way, joining the army cadets which has helped her confidence enormously...and now she is working! She is in her 3rd week of work....working approx 25hrs a week and she loves it and yes it is permanent work.

It just goes to show anyone can get a job simply based on how you come across and the person that you are rather than a glowing CV and stacks of great grades....

School/exam results are not always the be all and end all....and I'm soooo glad we did HE...it not only saved her but it kept us together as a close family...and she has grown into the most beautiful young woman that both me and her Dad are so very proud of.

So my message to anyone thinking of HE-ing.....it works. It really does.
