Daughter just started e learning

I had to share this with you, I feel so happy and emotional. Following bullying at school and a long two year fight, my daughter has just completed her first lesson via e learning. She is happier than I have seen her in ages.

What is e-learning? Sorry for my ignorance, I can understand the concept, but if I would like to look into it where do I start?

Good Luck to your daughter!

Do you have to pay for this?

HumphreyComfreyCushion · 30/10/2006 10:34

That's great, Faith8.

I am so glad you and your daughter are happy.

Glad it's going well - good on you for helping her

She is 14 and is now studying her G.C.S.E.s from home. To cut a very long story short, the L.E.A. have arranged for the funding to be transferred from the school to this scheme - so I don't have to pay. It is a virtual classroom online and she will study English, Maths, Sciencs and I.C.T.. The company they employ is based in the Midlands (we are in South Wales) and is called Accipio Learning. I don't know how much it would cost if I had to pay. Thanks for all your comments - very much appreciated. It has been a long hard slog to get to this point, the school are still in denial and speaking to the Director of Education.
