Home Ed Families in Teeside

We're thinking of returning to the UK after a decade away. Are there many or any HE families in Teesside? How do people feel about HE in general. My in laws have mentioned they'd like for kids to go to school but we are not keen.

We are worried about finding our feet and making friends again though; kids are older 8, 10 and 12 and I guess they may struggle a bit.

Hi! We are quite near to Teesside and HE our youngest two who are 13 and 15 (eldest is now at sixth form). There are quite a lot of HE families in the area and there is a Yahoo group called TVHE (Tees Valley Home Ed) which you could join. There is a wide variety of HE styles - we are structure but there are plenty of autonomous families too.

We live in Teesside with children aged 10,7 and 5. We find plenty to do, but also travel to newcastle and durham groups.

We will be in the Yarm area from July 24 to August 18. Would live to grab a coffee and say hi.

If you're on Facebook, there are several local HE groups. Very friendly ones!
