Do vaccinations, eye and hearing tests have anything to do with the school?

My dd came out of school in July, to my knowledge she was never given any such tests there.

Eye tests are free to under 16's at any optician anyway.

I gave my GP's surgery a call, and made an appointment with the practise nurse. We went through what examination each child should have, and when, and she then booked any due appointments.

She wrote a list in each of their red books, so I knew when I had to make appointments in the future.

You could also speak to your health visitor, I suppose, but ours was not the most charming, so I didn't bother with her.

HTH.

ye s they do have something to do with the school
bcg vacinations are given at 11 at school

sure there are more but that's all I can think of

Dd had a sight and hearing test not long after she started in reception - both were done by health visitors from the nearest clinic, so I would imagine your own health visitor is either the person to speak to, or would know where to refer you.

The BCG isn't given in all schools anymore, it depends on whether your local area is classed as high risk for TB. Your HV or practice nurse would tell you what the score is in your area.
