Best site to find local HE groups and meet ups?

I'm in Surrey on the Middlesex/West London borders and am really struggling to find other home educators who meet up, whether on a regular basis or just here and there. There seems to be lots of meet-a-mum or baby groups for preschoolers etc who, by default, HE I guess but for older children I am finding it impossible. Our Daughter is 6 and I find it impossible to think that there aren't any groups out there that we could become part of. Do any of you know of any websites where I can find some new friends for both of us?

If you are search FB for ' home education surrey' and you'll find them. I know I found some this morning...sorry can't link from my phone.
Fiona's edyourself.org may well have a group link too.
And the 'Home Education UK' website has a list of local groups.

Thank you for taking the time to reply. I haven't been on Facebook for years and am only now slowly reacquainting with social media so those searches hadn't happened. Perhaps now is the perfect time to get back on Facebook. Thanks again.

Also there's a yahoo west London group. My DD is 8 and keen to make friends but a little apprehensive because of experience in school but I'm hoping to overcome that.

yes Facebook is well worth a go for finding HE support-LOADS of us on there, and responses come much faster on FB.
