Context: I have always know I wanted to HE, before I even actively wanted children.
When my ex and I split up I thought it was going to be nigh in impossible. No support from her dad, all my family 100s of miles away and all of my friends I thought had gone with my ex.
I spent 2 years going to every baby group going to stave off the loneliness and basically decided that I wouldn't think about the school issue until I had to.
At some point (reading threads on mn about lunch box police, uniform woes, under achieves, over achievers and massive fines for taking your kids out if school) I just snapped inside abs said to myself i need to home educate, I can't imagine being happy otherwise, somehow I'll just have to make it work.
So I came up with a plan.
A business plan... doing amazing fun stuff with pre/schoolers.
My first grant application went in today and I've been approved to take on volunteers
My business is actually getting off the ground and I'm finally gaining the confidence to believe I can make it work
