GCSE recommendations please

I started Home Ed last summer, and my now-15yr old was keen to self-govern his learning. However after watching and leaving for 6mths it has become clear he needs some guidance and assistance if he is to pass the GCSE's he has selected in time to keep him inline with his peers, so we're looking at online tutor-based courses for him.
But there are so many!
Does anyone have any personal recommendations for iGCSE courses? The local home Ed officer recommended Oxford Home Schooling, but it would be nice to get some other impartial opinions.

Have you looked at Interhigh and brite school , although they may be more input than you want . I'm HE with a 14 yr old dd ,but we are only aiming for maths and double English GCSE at the moment as she has CFS so is very limited .

Floral, the same son was diagnosed with CFS when he was 10 and it took him four years to recover to where he's at now (which is healthy to all intents and purposes, but with a slightly paranoid eye on his health and tiredness levels).

Have never heard anything good about Oxford Home Learning, Catherine Mooney is excellent for English and we've also used Sam Martell for biology and chemistry (though DS and DD did them through tutoring with a HE group in the end.)

Most GCSEs are difficult/impossible because of controlled assessment, so external candidates take IGCSEs instead.

However a number of LAs are still in the habit of recommending distance learning providers because in the past these companies could "authenticate the coursework" which is no longer relevant.
