Teaching my son French

Hello
My bilingual(spanish) yr1 DS goes to a good state primary but they don't teach languages. I'd like him to learn another language. Can I do this myself? Has anyone any advise or resources. How much time should I put into this- 10 mins a day or 30 mins a week?

My lot have enjoyed 'Developing French' books 1-3 by Madeleine Bender followed by the Galore Park 'So You Really Want to Learn French' books.
Difficult to comment on time, we're fairly relaxed home educators so they do as much as they like. Eldest is doing IGCSE French next summer.
