Not officially started home ed yet but have had my son 4 years old home for the past week. School don't seem to be coping with a medical issue he has too well and so he's been with me. I thought I would use it as a bit of a trial run.
This morning he went to school for an hour they then phoned me to collect him, I have mountains of sewing to do and had planned to do this today so he has been looking at books and on you tube.
He just brought the iPad in and said I know cows starts with a c, in my book it has an o what comes next? I gave him a hint with the sound which he found the w and then added the s himself ! How's that for learning at home.

We have a meeting with his teacher next week but I have had a lovely week with him at home and I think we may make it permanent.
Thank you to everyone for the advice they have given me. Halloween Smile

Molsby.

So pleased you have had a wonderful experience with your ds.
The great thing about H.ed is you can choose how long you wish to continue.
I have read about many who started out as a temporary move and never went back.
If it works for you and your family its one of the best things you can give your dc imo.
Good luck and keep posting, its lovely to hear how people are getting on. Smile
