If any of your children are/ have been even vaguely into Pokemon, can they fill in DD2's survey?

I am doing Sociology with DD2 and we are looking at survey design at the moment. She has designed a survey - just for the fun of it. However, it would be really useful if real people could fill it in as it would help her see what makes a good question and what doesn't.

If anyone encounters problems with it or any questions don't make sense to you, posting that (nicely!) would help her too. I haven't helped her in any way with it so there may be errors she's missed.

It's very short and about starter Pokemon. Survey

Thank you :)

I've passed it on FB HE pages.
Hope you get loads of responses Grin

I don't understand it but ds1 did it, he is 9 if that helps - perhaps she might want to include an age question? Just a thought.

It's very comprehensive btw - well done!

Thank you Julie! I was thinking about that but we hadn't got round to it.

EdMcDunnough, say thank you to your DS for us. I will pass on about the age related question to her.

:)

" Just one comment that if you answer the first question with no, then you can't answer the other questions. If you click 'done' then you can't finish. Maybe it's better to leave the first question out?"

hopefully you have had quite a few others answer it too?

Was going to show this to DS2 who is a massive Pokemon player, but having had a quick look at it in advance I don't think it's relevant.
Could you clarify (to out-of-touch parent) but does this just refer to the Nintendo DS games?
DS2 plays loads of Pokemon, but only the cards.

picturesinthefirelight · 15/09/2012 16:25

I'll get ds aged 8 to fill it in. Hell know exactly what it's all about!

BiggerAndBadder · 15/09/2012 16:33

ds said you shouldn't be able to choose starter pokemon that aren't in a game you said you played.

another responder on FB just said:

"OK Question 5 needs an extra response, as I answered I don't have a favourite starter P.... but as I don't play so maybe this could be linked to other questions... like if you don't play go to Q6 - why don't you play.... or go to end - survey.... did it have a "Thank you for taking the survey at the end?".... it went through too quickly for me to really look at it, but if you need more help I did a MA in Education module in research methods including surveys, so willing to help."

I can put you in touch via FB if you do want to take her up on her offer.
