My little girl is nearly 6 and has been in the mainstream state system since 2 1/2.
She has ASD and was diagnosed last year.
She's in her third school because of bullying and now it's happening again and she just cannot cope with things that other kids find easy or don't even have to think about. She's not statemented and have been fighting for that so special school is out of the question.
Private schools don't want to know her at the moment because she's so behind. My choice is to HE. I am quite excited about the prospect but want to be able to keep her social side up. She's a lovely little girl and of course I will keep in touch with a few kids from her school that she likes but it would be nice to meet up with some other people that HE in the Essex/Herts area.
I am happy to travel as far as Hertford or to Chelmsford/Braintree or the villages for meet ups. I live in Old Harlow area.
Any help would be appreciated.
