HE in Exeter/Plymouth - is there much of a HE community there?

We are vaguely contemplating a move to Exeter/Plymouth, for various reasons, but are wondering how our home ed prospects will be if we move down there.

We currently live in the SE and have a really vibrant local HE community, with lots of online support and regular groups. We are planning on home edding our DSs (3.5 and 1yo atm), but are wondering how this idea might work if we move. One of the big appeals of HE in this area was the great HE community, and I'm flapping about that community existing way down in the South West!

Does anyone live down there/know what it's like for HE? Thanks very much!

When I lived in Plymouth and was looking into HE, there was quite a big group I think who met up regularly.

If you join the yahoo group they'll let you know when and where.

Thanks for the links! Will go and have a look. Am just a bit anxious as home ed round here seems to be so simple in terms of meeting people, and moving means having to research and find a whole new group of people.

Hiya Hopefully, I am living in Plymouth and home educating my 5 year old. There is a reguar group that meets weekly with lots of spin off meets and support. There is a family that have just moved here from the SE and they said it was a tiny group compared to what they were used to but its regular and supportive. I have a friend in Exeter and its a much larger network.. Let me know if you come here and we can meet up anytime Smile
