Please come share with me your quick fix recipes for cakes, biscuits and lunch times that you can make with young ones and teens. Any suggestions beyond Victoria sponge and shortbread fingers? My lunch times are boring!

We always made lots of soups together.....fun warm and cheap!
Made even better if we'd grown the veg for the children to harvest.
There are some good recipes at (Home Educating) Vegan Family House

That is a brilliant website. I've printed out a few of the recipies: the Pumpkin, tomato and chicken noodle. They look delicious and easy to do with the kids during our cooking together times, and best of all non-expensive, which is what I was looking for. Unfortunately we only had a small veg crop this year, I really need to get an allotment.

Thanks Julie

We do puff pastry pizzas - ready made pastry, roll out a rectangle, add your own toppings, cook about 10mins. Also make our own pizza dough in bread machine and girls roll out the dough and add their own topppings. For baking i love Mary Berry - some really easy 'chuck everything in and mix' recipes - big favourite in our house is her banana loaf!
