Are there any Home Ed families in Clapham, London?

Hello, we are new to Mumsnet and HE. I'm finding it a bit difficult to find other families in our area (SW4) who are homeschooling or doing home eductaion. We're having a lot of fun at home together but I can feel pretty isolated at times and would love to be a little more connected with local mums that are on a similar journey.

Hi are you on the swlondonsurreybordershomeed yahoo group? There certainly are families around your area and that isn't a bad starting point. Or you could try the CLHE google group. If you aren't on them and would like to be then I can try and send you links as I've heard from a few people they are hard to track down. There's also a SLHE yahoo group - have you found that?
We go to a lovely group in Stoneleigh, Surrey, which is very easy to get to from Clapham - direct train there. Lots of children, mostly 0-11 ish. It meets on Thursdays 12-3.30. I can send you details if you are interested. Also there's a pottery group in Clapham on Mondays, I haven't been, but it sounds lovely. There's an ice-skating group which is in Streatham, but moving to Brixton - I think from January on Fridays. There's the parks group on Tuesdays, which meets in different parks around London. There are other groups around too, a few nice-sounding ones in SE London.
There is lots going on - you just need to get on the home ed lists and get the details to see what suits you. Even if you aren't into the idea of groups you could just post a message there and see if individual families would like to meet up. How old are your children and are they boys or girls?
