Hi everyone,

I'm also posting this in primary education but you guys may be more knowledgeable

My daughter is going to a high school after the summer that teaches french and she has done German til now. I'm looking for some free online resources to help her become familiar and maybe conversant before starting school to make it easier and less daunting for her.

Any suggestions? Thanks :)

The BBC language website is pretty good. I use it when I tutor older children.

You can buy learning French books in waterstones in the same section as all those Carol Voderman books, although they do seemed to be pitched towards 6-8 yos.

There's often something on BBC iPlayer.
At the moment: Not Now, Farley Episode 1

Thanks for the great response!

Flingon my DD is using the BBC language site as we speak and enjoying it! we're really liking the pronunciation sound bites

Saracen I didn't know that, I'm off to look it up now

Darlene I haven't looked in bookshops yet as I don't want to spend money on getting the wrong thing, she had a few german ones and never liked them

Thanks everyone :)
