Does anyone have any experience, good or bad, of doing this?
I've read "The Well Trained Mind" to get a general idea. I'm not sure if it is for us, but I don't think autonomous would work for us; ds feels more secure with a structure.

We use WTM for some aspects and combine it with Galore Park textbooks as both are academically rigorous (which suits my DCs). I know quite a few other families (some in RL, some on forums) who use WTM to some degree and one or two have DCs on the autistic spectrum. They seem to find it very good.

There is a structured home ed forum. It's private so you have to 'apply' and be 'approved' but in reality that only takes a day or so (till one of us gets round to checking!)
