we have been home educating our 5 year old since the end of last spring.
My OH wanted to inform the lea before the school did so things were done on our terms.
We delayed an invition to meet them but now have agreed for my OH to meet them out of our home we have filled in the form they sent us and sent it back but do not know how to prepare for the meeting .It is on thursday!!!!!
Now we are panicking.

how long is your educational philosophy.
what happened at meetings you have had,do they ask qusetions or our you supposed to sort of present your self?

Hi this is a quick dash through, will come back later.

My ed philosophy for a much older SEN child was short, but to the point. Education fiting the child not the child fitting education. Wanted balanced life, could provide it.

Gave a ridiculously long list of potential resources to show we'd thought through loads of opportunities.

I chose to present display book of things my child would be proud of, and photo's of a happy child 'doing' including with other children, and animals, to show there wasn't a need for questions.
My view was that by answering any genuine possible concerns in a presentation, I expected to be left to get on with it. :-)
