Anyone do Latin with their kids?

I have a 7 year old and a 5 year old

Quite interested in them doing Latin at some point

I studied it sporadically up to degree level, but I am very rusty-I'd have to bone up seriously first.

Anyone who does it-what do you use?

Minimus is supposed to be very good, although I haven't used it with my DCs as they were a little older when they started.

We initially used Cambridge Latin with DS1 but found the grammar not to be great, so switched to Galore Park. This wasn't as 'interesting' according to DS1 (required much more effort/thinking would be my interpretation of that!) So now we combine the two - use GP for grammar and Cambridge for translation practice. DS2 and DD started last September using both books (they were 10 and 8).

We have used Minimus with our Primary aged kids - we all enjoyed it. It could work out a bit expensive to buy all the things (book, cd etc) - my old Latin teacher gave it to us. But it is a fun course and we enjoyed it. Fairly basic on the actual Latin language front. More an introducation to Latin rather than hard-core grammar!

MiL is a Classicist and recommends both Minimus and Cambridge Latin. That's what she'll be using with BabyScout when he's old enough (I've already "reserved" her for Latin lessons in a few years time).
