I may home ed. my DD who has just begun year 2...it will be for a year or just over and she will then return to her current school...we are going abroad and I wondered if anyone could advise me on where to buy materials to help me once we are there?

I want to stick to the curriculum so she is where she needs to be in year three...my major concerns are reading, writing and Maths...any tried and tested sites/supliers to look at please?

Thank you!

Where will you be travelling to? You could try the GCP books. They have a pretty good web site and all their books are in line with the national curriculum. They also deliver to many different countries. Also Galore Park do very good quality books, although they tend to go beyond the necessary NC standards and content which is why I like them. I think they ship outside the UK too. Their website's worth checking out. Or try the Scofield and Sims website. Amazon will ship most things internationally too.

If you tell us where you are travelling someone may be able to tell you what the Home ed scene is like there.

What about asking the school? I'm sure they could tell you exactly which materials would be used so you can carry on with them. Possibly they might even lend you some if they have extras? Couldn't hurt to ask.
