Home Ed Scheme in Bedford

I was at a Home Ed group in Milton Keynes today and heard there is some kind of scheme in Bedford for Home educated kids where you sign up for certain classes etc... and you register every day from home to receive perfect attendance.

Does anyone know what this is and where I can get the contact details?

Everyone I spoke to today seemed very vague about it. I'd like to find out more.

Thanks

The scheme in Bedford attracts very differing views from home educators.

I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole, as it is run by the LA and the children are registered with them, so in fact are not home educators.

They do run actvities and I think you have to be a member of the scheme to be part of them and as I understand it, this has been to the detriment of home ed activities in the area-but this is all hear say as I am not in that area.

It does suit some families, but I can't see how it would suit a family who enjoys frredom from LA control, and certainly can't see how it would fit with autonomous HE.
