I'm home-educating my 7 yr old daughter (never been to school) who is a reluctant reader, so I'm looking into some online literacy support that is fun. She loves mathletics, which is similar to spellodrome, but it's not possible to try it out before I buy. I'd like to find out what people think of spellodrome before I pay out yet another chunk of money into something that may not be very useful.

Never been able to try it and I am relucant to pay for anyone I havent tried. There are lots of free sites though, just type spelling games and a lot of good sites will come up.

I dont think you really need to pay for this area. There are so many words to learn, its hard to get a site to find specifically the words you want to target. A lot of sites allow you to type in the words and then it plays games with them for DC to learn.

We use

www.tutpup.com

It's a free site and they can start at the very easiest level and work their way up to the more challenging levels.
