I've just had this posted at me on the TES website.

Is that on the forum?

SDeuchars · 24/07/2010 19:29

Yeah, but it's a troll thread (Opinion->Premoderation as a sanction) - I just checked. I'm not going to respond.

Marjoriew · 24/07/2010 19:33

The poster who aimed it at me has teamed up with Locarno from Parentscentre. He has posted as |Lucinda Carlisle on the home ed threads here and he is posting as Martin Blank on TES.
I have reported the post but it hasn't been removed yet.

Plucking up courage to ask a stupid question here - what's a troll?

SDeuchars · 24/07/2010 20:38

According to the great god Wikipedia: someone who posts inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum, chat room, or blog, with the primary intent of provoking other users into a desired emotional response or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion.

thank you!

musicposy · 25/07/2010 06:02

I can't believe (well I can, but sigh) that some of these trolls from parentscentre still have nothing better to do with their lives all these years later.

Marjoriew · 25/07/2010 17:54

The thread has been removed and the poster banned.

It has nothing to do with me.

Parentscentre closed six years ago, didnt it?
