Toddler room advice

I want to decorate my toddlers room and he’s asked for it to be yellow and blue. I’m struggling to find any examples of this looking nice as a combination, unless the room is a beautiful old Victorian house, which we do not have! Yellow and blue both seem to be difficult colours to find a nice shade of too. Can anyone recommend any paint colours please? Or advice on how to find a good combination?

There is a lovely range of paints for children’s rooms by a brand called Edward Bulmer that are non toxic and they have a light yellow called Florence that would look great on walls with a light blue called Luca that would be great on skirting, doors and any joinery (or you could reverse that - blue walls yellow skirting ). These paints are as good in modern homes as period ones and are easy to apply:

My 11 year old son’s west facing bedroom is FB’s Light Blue. We have used some yellow and red accents, including a lovely not quite mustard yellow celling lampshade from Next.

I think these look nice - I really like the wallpaper from Dunelms 😅

You can always add the second colour into a duvet set or a cheap rug.
