Anyone know the actual frame width of the Noa and Nani treehouse bed?

Does anyone have a Noa and Nani Christopher Treehouse bed?! I am desperately trying to find out accurate depth/width measurements before purchasing! They list them on the website but the width is given as 127.5cm and I can't work out how this can be the case: mattress size is 90cm wide and even considering the width of the frame around it...surely the frame is not nearly 40cm wider than the mattress?! I am wondering if the measurement includes the space taken up by the footprint of the ladder...

Has anyone got this bed and could you possibly measure the depth of the actual FRAME for me, please?!

Are you looking at the slide option?

We've been looking at a lot of loft beds with slides recently and the slides almost always add an extra 40cm width.

No, i'm looking at the option without the slide. But actually 'width' is misleading: I think i mean 'depth'. The 'width' is 220cm - its 220cm long. But I need to know how far it's going to project into my room, and I'm not sure if their dimensions are telling me the whole story.

A cabin bed was our absolutely worst purchase. Trying to make the bed with fresh sheets etc just gave me the rage! We couldn’t wait to get rid of it.

Jumped on this thread as I've got one of the slide beds (not treehouse style though), so thought I could help.

Can't say from personal experience, but from the website I'd say you could be very confident that the width is taking into account both the ladder protruding, plus the overhang from the roof bit. I can definitely see those adding 30cm (assuming there's around 5cm either side of the mattress, for example, to account for the frame itself).

This photo helps, I think.

In case it's helpful, will also add that we've had two of the slide beds, and they're good quality and the kids love them. Plus they've coped well with being taken apart and re-built as they've been moved in and out for decorating, or from an older child's room to be given to a younger child.

A few cons I'd flag (but like I say, these don't outweigh the pros for me)....

  1. Pretty expensive
  2. Hard to build - the instructions are dreadful. I'm used to IKEA, who I think do brilliant instructions, and really struggled with the Noa & Nani ones
  3. One of ours had a horrible smell that it took a few days to get rid off. Maybe had been in a factory for quite a while. We had the windows open and did scented candles for a few days
  4. I don't think the fabric accessories are always good value. Ours both came with 'walls' that hang down from the bed to the floor (to make the space under the bed like a den), and you do that using little papery string ties - these snapped off pretty quickly once the kids even slightly tugged on the fabric walls. I ended up using Command strips to hold the fabric walls on instead. And we also had semi-circular canopy things that go over the bed - one arrived totally bent out of shape and we had to get a return; but generally, they're very flimsy and don't last. Luckily the kids didn't care, as I was pretty annoyed. But they just love the slide and being high up, and the den underneath.

Plus, I have long arms, so changing the beds is luckily never an issue for me.
