Radiator covers paint or not.

We are moving into a new (to us) house.

In the living room is a dado rail half way up the wall. Below this will be dark green, the top light green. Radiator covers are white.

Do I paint the covers dark green or leave white? They are ok to look at and I’m not sure if painting them will make it look like trying to hide them.

WEYD?

Paint them!

I’d get rid of them altogether.

Paint for sure

I’d get rid of them altogether (dated) and probably get brand new radiators installed. Modern radiators can make a huge difference (warmth, energy bills) compared to those 20 or 30 years old.

I'd probably leave them white. With the dark green below the dado rail, the white should give a nice bit of contrast rather than making the radiator look like you're trying to hide it.
I'd wait until the room is painted and see how they look. If they still stand out too much, you can always paint them later.
