Has anyone ever used any "support boards" etc under sagging sofa cushions?

Are they any good? Any recommendations?

No, but have you looked at your sofa? What's causing the sagging - the webbing (or springs, if it has them) or the cushion inners? Foam inners need replacing after 5-10 years and no amount of board underneath is going to make them comfortable. If the webbing has broken or lost its elasticity, it's easy and quick to replace. Replacing springs or a spring system of costly.

Like those curved foam ones from Amazon that are about £15, I bought one and it made a bit of difference but then I got a new sofa. It's now in the caravan, propping up the sagging seat in there. They aren't that good but do work a bit, depending on the sag.

We bought new cushions from a company called All shapes on eBay.

It's IKEA Kivik corner sofa, had it for 10 years now. Really hard to tell what's causing the sagging and it's not visible really but it's difficult to get up from it now and feels like it swallows you whole 😅

So it’s not the cushions, if it’s not visible? They are not wrinkled and mishapen?

if so then it’s something structural

The pics online suggest it has serpentine springs and foam cushion inners. The springs are easy to replace (if that's what the issue is). Is it possible to safely tilt the sofa back so you can inspect the springs underneath? If that's the problem, take photos of the problem and the whole sofa, then call local upholsterers for a repair quote. Some will come to your home to fix something simple.

After 10yrs though, it's much more likely to be the cushion inners, which are just foam. I'd order some more - if you have them covered in stockinette, they're easier to get in and out of the covers. Also, if you'd like a bit more comfort, you can order foam inners with dacron and stockinette (it will give the cushions a very slight dome shape). You can add the dacron on just the top of the cushion, or the top and base, which gives you the option to flip the cushion over and have the same level of comfort.

If you like the sofa, just call an upholsterer for guidance; don't waste money on something inappropriate from Amazon etc.
