Hello, as the title says really, we are about to move into a new build. We will not be bringing our old dining furniture with us as it won’t fit so I need some help in choosing the right thing for this room.
Unfortunately the kitchen is black and white which would not have been my choice but the house was complete when we bought so it can’t be changed yet.
I want to introduce wood / natural / rattan to warm it up a bit.
Ideally looking for a round table that extends. Ideally it need to be 100-110cm unextended and need to sit 6 extended.
Id like a sideboard, something wood, curved edges to soften the lines and stark of the white and black.

Glass and oak leg round table would look nice but it can’t be extended, not sure what colour chairs to get? I’m thinking a natural boucle fabric, this room will need lots of warmth injecting.

Any ideas and links to items would be gratefully appreciated

You could change the worktops? Relatively cheap but would lighten/brighten and soften it all up? The units are fine.

They’re quartz and cost a fortune. We can’t change these for a while I’m afraid

chat gpt is great for this op. Show it pictures of the style you actually like together with pictures of the room you have and it will mock it up for you. You need to change the wall colour. This is what I got when I asked for it in a Neptune style. It knows the sort of look I like though - if you take wide angle photos and more detail on your preferred style you’ll get something that works for you.

I’d look at something Scandi style like this and add a soft washable rug underneath. Some rattan blinds, wooden accessories etc.
I agree that AI tools can be helpful for visualising other ideas.

I’d definitely bring in natural materials to soften the black-and-white kitchen. A round extendable table in a warm oak or medium wood tone would add warmth while keeping the room feeling modern. Natural boucle or woven chairs would work beautifully, and a curved wooden sideboard could echo the round table and soften the sharper lines of the kitchen. You could also add a few simple ceramic pieces or woven accessories for texture. If you’re considering a kitchen or dining-area surface upgrade, natural stone surfaces can also complement the wood and rattan elements nicely.
