I am trying to redesign my kitchen using the Ikea kitchen planner. I want to get my new kitchen from Ikea because I may get alternative doors from plykea and I like the interior bits you can get for Ikea units.
I currently have my sink under the window at the end of the room and I want to love it because I absolutely hate corner cabinets, and having to reach over the corner to reach the wall units over the corners.
NB. Both windows open outwards, despite the Ikea plan showing them opening inwards, and there is no door - it’s just open into the dining room through the doorframe.
The first option would obviously be the easiest regarding plumbing, as it places the sink on the outside wall still.
Inside the doorway on the right would be a 40cm wide full height cupboard for ironing board, mops, broom, bucket etc. Then a freestanding fridge which already have and don’t want to replace.
The dishwasher would be on the end on the sink side under the window so it’s out of the way, in both designs.
Can anyone see any problem, or advantage, to either, that I can’t see?
Btw. I couldn’t upload the second floor plan because of the 5 image limit. Sigh.
