Mattress topper recommendations for Ikea Friheten sofa bed

When I started working from home, our spare room became a home office. We have a Friheten sofa bed in there which can be made up into a double bed but really needs something additional to be comfortable for more than one night. Does anyone have any recommendations for a mattress topper that would suit?

Following as I have the same sofa bed in my office room and wondering the same! I've been sleeping on it during the heatwaves (as it's a cooler room than my bedroom) and found a thick double duvet used as a topper helps quite a bit.

I've got a friheten sofa bed and I find it really comfortable to sleep on but only if I lie the other way? So my feet towards the corner end if that makes sense.
Otherwise the split in it for the chaise part is uncomfortable on my hip.

That makes total sense, i've never even considered sleeping that way, i think in my mind the back of the chaise bit is the 'headboard'

So did I! Until I thought hang on just lie the other way, much better 😁

For a Friheten sofa bed, I’d definitely recommend getting a topper if it’s going to be used for more than one night. A thicker memory-foam or high-density foam topper around 5–7 cm should make it considerably more comfortable without being too difficult to store.
I’d also check the exact sleeping dimensions before buying, as a good fit will prevent the topper from moving around during the night.
