Remove Paint / Sanding Outdoor Chairs

What is the best (quickest ) way to remove paint / sand outdoor wooden rocking chairs, wise Mumsnetters ?
Using an orbital sander or something like Nitromors Paint Stripper ?

A heat gun is the quickest way, but if you don’t plan to repaint them I wouldn’t use that as you can get scorch marks. If you want to varnish afterwards use a paint stripper (I think a sander would take ages)

For gloss paint a heat gun would work but can scorch. Paint stripper would get rid of most of it and then a sander (probably a detail sander like the Mouse, with a finger attachment to get into the gaps between slats).

I do intend to repaint them.

If the paint is very thick, I'd use a heat gun. I'd sand them. Paint stripper is horrible stuff.
