NEXT sofas good or not?

I need a 3 seater sofa, haven’t bought one for many years, are they OK or should I look elsewhere ? I am going to look at DFS but the delivery times look to be long.

We bought a 2 seater last year. It’s fine. Delivery was good.

We bought one earlier this year. All good so far. And arrived a lot quicker than the initial time frame when we paid for it!

I'm getting 2 three seaters delivered next week so I'll come back and update... Likewise re: delivery, was quoted 9 weeks buts it's been half that time

Had mine for 18 years, been really good and it's only in the last year or so I think I should replace. I will definitely be looking at replacing them with more Next sofas though. Tbh the only thing that has stopped me up till now is wondering if they are still good quality, but looking at comments on here it appears they are and people are happy

We've had ours for 6 or 7 years and they are great! Comfy and still in good condition even though we are not careful with them.

We've had our next sofa & chair 13+ years.
I wouldn't say it's still in great condition but it's lasted the baby & toddler years X2 and beyond. Arms still solid & still comfortable.

My friend has had one for about 15 months and it still stinks of garlic. A well known issue, apparently.

I've had one for a couple of years. A chaise sofa. Every day the seat cushions slip out and you have to pick up the back cushions and put them back. Every single day.

I’ve ordered one and delivery says 7 weeks, but a couple of comments online say it didn’t take that long, so we’ll see.

I’ve got a next Wilson firm sit sofa in sage green velvet. It still looks immaculate, even with kids and Labrador heavy usage. I wipe it gently with a very lightly wet cloth with a tiny bit of soapy water, honestly it looks like the day it arrived. However, it is singly the most uncomfortable thing I have ever sat on, it’s like sitting on a camel. I sort of wish it had aged terribly so I could justify replacing it, but no. This thing will live forever 🤣

We got one from Next clearance about 7 years ago, it still looks very good and is comfy

@saveforthat on mine the back cushions sort of squidge down and they have to be removed and punched back into shape, and swapped over. Every single day.

no garlic smell though, thankfully.

Same with ours.

We got our next sofa and snuggle chair about eight years ago. It’s coped well with kids / family / overuse and spills etc. the cushions need a rearrange (seat slips forward and back sags) daily but it is comfy and useable. Fabric is sturdy albeit needs a bit of a trim of loose thread bits round the cushion edges now and again. And it’s a bit itchy on bare skin.

To be fair it’s not as comfy as our indestructible previous one from a furniture seconds place that we bought in 1998 for our first house - but it looked proper granny (shell shaped high back in beige) so had to go - but sooo soft and comfy!
