Replacing a bathroom washstand top while keeping existing drawers

Where can I find this? In our bathroom we have an oval basin on a washstand - it's two deep drawers wall hung with a counter top. Made of something UPVC ish- well, the edges of the top are coming away slightly after 12 years' use.

I want to keep the drawers but replace the top with something like stone, or Corian or marble. How would do this? Where can I look to find a 'top' for a washstand? I can't replace the whole unit as it is, it came from the Bath Store and they went bust.

Look up kitchen worktops and order a piece of the material you want. Get a joiner to fit it.

Would a joiner work with all materials like granite, marble, or stone?

Well a kitchen fitter would. Just ask them if they can.

If you are anywhere near Wales , there are people who work with slate and can make counter tops etc.

Get the top taken off and take it to a marble/ granite/ quartz place to template and cut.

You don’t necessarily need to replace the whole unit. I’d look for a bespoke vanity/worktop fabricator and have the new top cut to the exact size, with the basin and tap holes included. Corian, quartz or porcelain would all be good options for a bathroom. There are companies that make these specifically to fit existing furniture.

I’d take the measurements of the existing top and send them a few photos too. Royale Stones may also be worth checking for suitable stone and vanity options.
