Can anyone please guide me in terms of this quote. We are looking to have the exterior of our dormer redone. We currently have bad hanging tiles which are falling off. We have a quote with a company I really like but the quote is massively pushing our budget.
All hanging tiles removed, replaced with Hardie plank: 40.8m (squared) x £190p/m (squared) = £7752 + VAT = £9302.40
Fascias, soffits and guttering removed and replaced: £2016 + VAT = £2419.20
This does not include scaffolding but everything else, including survey, all rubbish removed etc.
I’ve had other quotes but not with people that use James Hardie (eg ones that used Cedral). I am keen to go with Hardie due to positive reviews but am not necessarily completely fixed on that. I would really appreciate people sharing their reviews if they used Hardie, or alternatives for that matter.
It’s with a James Hardie ‘preferred contractor’ - could this be pushing the price up?
