DIY with toddler

I am currently heavily pregnant with a 2yo boy and i can feel my nesting stage coming on hard, all I want to do is tidy, clean, organise and do all kinds of home improvements (which I probably shouldn’t be doing) basically I was wondering if anyone had any tips how I can do my home improvements (e.g. sanding & painting) with a toddler around or whether I should just bite the bullet and hold off until I have childcare (which is very limited) and maybe not pregnant anymore lol

You might be able to do sanding around a toddler, but don't even think of having an open tin of paint or even an area of drying paint while they are awake.
I used to do small amounts of painting once they were asleep for the night, but even then you'd have to be very sure that they wouldn't get up and accidentally touch something, and be careful to clean everything up - you can't leave anything lying about.
I have had older children help with stripping paper off the walls, sanding ( but not with a machine) and cleaning, and they could help with painting from about 10 if they are sensible and practical, but not a toddler!
