Apologies if I’m asking in the wrong place!

I have a large mirror that’s kind of upvc or plastic and I want to paint it. It’s white and I just want to take it to an ivory or natural white. So nothing drastic.

Ive seen loads of paints thst say they will work but im fussy about the shade. Someone elsewhere suggested frenchic. Wedding cake.

I don’t want to spend loads! Anyone else done something like this and can recommend something? I need to avoid cream or anything with yellow tones and also avoid grey or blue tones.

I've used white chalk paint for things like this (it sticks to almost anything) and I've coloured it myself with a few drops of acrylic paint. Adding a drop or two of yellow would work but experiment to get the right shade. It's important to let it dry to check the shade before you do the whole lot. Ask me how I know this Blush

I used Rustoleum rather than Annie Sloan as it was a damn sight cheaper and did the job just fine. You can buy it in The Range (if they still do it, this was a while back) and I think B&Q.

You can go over it when you've finished with wax to protect it if you want to.

Thank you @InveterateBigot and I sympathise having spent a ridiculous amount on paint samples over the years! There’s a range fairly close by but the self mixing tip I like!

if you use a proper primer then you can use any paint over the top - then you get the choice of colours
